The President of the Common Council is elected by the people every four years. The President presides at the Council meetings, and does not vote on legislation unless to break a tie. The President is also a member of the Board of Estimate and Contract.

It was my honor to be elected President of the Common Council in November 2023 and I began my official duties on January 1, 2024.

I have been involved in City of Rome government for many years as the City Treasurer as well as the 6th Ward Common Councilor and I will use that knowledge to assist the administration and Common Council in moving our City forward.

Please feel free to contact me (see above).  It is important to me that you, the citizens of Rome, get a response to any and all questions or concerns that you have in a timely manner.  You can be assured that I will return every phone call, email or message that is directed to me.

The City of Rome’s 2nd ward is very important for our City. Not only does the 2nd ward take up a major land mass of our city, but it also comprises three main corridors into the City of Rome. Rt. 69, Rome – Oriskany Rd., Rt. 233, Rome-Westmoreland Rd. and South James St. These corridors are direct gateways in and out of our city.

I am honored and pleased to have been elected as your 5th Ward Councilor. I grew up in the 5th ward, and to this day it holds a special place in my heart.

I plan on doing everything I can possibly do to help you to enjoy your life here in the 5th ward and in the City of Rome.

Please reach out to me with any issues you might be having. Your problem is my problem. Whatever it is, you will be kept informed and updated. You will be treated with the respect you deserve no matter what the issue is.

5th ward monthly meetings are held in conjunction with the 6th and 7th wards, every 3rd Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. on the 1st floor of Rome City Hall, in the Community Room.

I am pleased to have been elected to the position of 7^th Ward Common Councilor. I am a lifelong Roman, and have resided in the 7^th Ward the majority of my life.
